Minotaur Maze

👉 The Minotaur Maze is a confusing, highly lethal labyrinth located near the bottom of the Dungeons of Doom, New in GnollHack.

Location: Located 2 levels above the bottom of /Dungeon/The Dungeons of Doom (typically levels 23–24).

Situated just above the Underground Castle, the Minotaur Maze is designed to drain the player's resources before the mid-game finale.

ℹ️ Characteristics

• Layout: A dense, sprawling maze with no standard rooms. The walls are solid rock. Hidden within the maze are two specific structures: the Minotaur's Lair and a locked NPC room.
• Inhabitants: As the name suggests, the level contains a minotaur.

🗝️ The Minotaur's Lair

On the left side of the maze is the Minotaur's Lair, housing a trapped and locked chest, whic contains a large amount of gold, a chance for an artifact, and a crucial magic key.

⛏️ The Geologist

On the right side of the maze is a small room with parquet flooring, secured by a locked, windowed magic door. This door can be unlocked using the magic key found in the Minotaur's Lair. Inside resides a dwarven geologist NPC who can provide useful services.

⚠️ The Threat

Minotaur is a dangerous melee enemy in the game. It moves fast and hits hard and can kill an unprepared adventurer in a few turns.
